Ingredients:
- Chopped Yellow Doosakaaya (Cucumber) : 1
- Onion: 2 small sized
- Green Chillies: 2 - 3
- Dried Red Chillies: 2
- Mustard Seeds: 1/2 tsp
- Chana Dal: 1/2 tsp
- Urad Dal: 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
- Oil: 2-3 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadai, add the mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal and let them splutter.
- Add the red chillies, curry leaves and slit green chillies and fry .
- Add the chopped onion to it and fry until cooked and golden colour.
- Now add the chopped doosakaaya, salt, turmeric powder and little water.
- Cover with a lid and cook on low or medium flame until doosakaaya pieces are soft.
- When it is done, remove from the flame and serve hot with rice.
